Bible Tic Tac Toe

Read Time:1 Minute, 8 Second

This game is perfect for a review of what you studied in your lesson and can be easily tailored depending on your students’ learning level. First, create a list of nine questions from the lesson. This step should be completed before your lesson starts. These questions should reflect the main points you want your students to remember. Then, divide the group into two teams. Pick one captain for each team.

Draw a big tic-tac-toe on a board or piece of paper, numbering each square like the image below:

Decide which team goes first. You can pick a number between 1 and 10 and ask the two group leaders to guess what it is, with whoever is the closest going first and getting to pick to be X or O. The group leaders pick a number, and their team gets that question. If they get it right, they get their X or O. If they get it wrong, the other team may steal the square. Play then passes to the other team. Continue until the game is over.

This game can easily be used for other events and activities such as a lock-in, vacation bible school, and a Bible trivia night, just use general knowledge Bible trivia for the questions. Have you tried this? How did it go? Tell us about it in the comments.
